Leadership Responsibility - A Responsibility game. Play this training game to understand the importance of taking responsibility - an important characteristic of leadership.

Leadership Responsibility: In this training game, group the participants into pairs!.

Give them the following instructions!

Stand facing each other with your toes touching.

Reach out and clasp each others' hands

Lean backwards, balancing your weight until the arms are straight without letting go of each others' hands.

Squat down as a pair.

Stand up as a pair.

Repeat the process if you did not get it right!

Ask the participants to be seated after they have finished playing this training game.

The questions to ask for the debrief of this training game:

How do you think this exercise is related to responsibility?

What did you do to succeed in this activity?

How did you feel when you failed to do it?

What are the consequences when a person does not take responsibility for the success of his/her partner? (How is this training game related to what happens in the work-space?)

Also get a monthly e-zine 'Stories for EL' free for stories that you can use to emphasise experiential learning. Stories and their lessons are easily remembered.

They can also be used to communicate a concept effectively. They add the 'aha' or 'Eureka' or 'got it' factor to presentations and lectures. They are great tools to use in debriefs of training games and learning games, to drive home a crucial point.
