Two - times Table
- Get the participants to stand.
- The task for the group is to stand in an array - of the two-times Table. They should get into this array without speaking.
It will be quite a task for them to manage this without talking. This game can also be used as a problem-solving game or a way of teaching little children the two-times table. Of course, if you are using it for the last, you'll have to let the children talk while they play the game.
Dirty Water/Clean Water
This is a problem-solving game. It can also be used as a game to illustrate a Christian concept of cleansing your mind of dysfunctional thoughts.
- Group the participants into groups of five - eight.
- Each group is given a tumbler full of dirty/muddy/murky water.
- The task is for them to fill the glass (tumbler) with clean water, without pouring out the dirty water.
- They have not more than 10 minutes to complete this activity. Although there is one solution to this problem, there can be more than one. If your group comes up with a viable solution which meets the above expectations, please write to me and let me know.
- Shoot this activity and play it back to them later so that they may observe the strategies and mistakes that they made. An accompanying debrief will prove useful to them to learn from this activity.
